Samsung Series 9 Business Notebook Updated

 Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, has expanded the Series 9 notebook range with two new models. 

The new Series 9 (900X3A) will be available from 1 August 2011 with a choice of either Genuine Windows® 7 Home Premium (900X3A-B01UK) or Genuine Windows® 7 Professional (900X3A-B02UK) which both now hit sharper price points.

Both models feature a faster core i5 CPU than their predecessor, ultimately boosting performance to handle more demanding tasks, and the latter is also equipped with a Trusted Platform module (TMP) and VGA display adaptor to allow the connection of a projector or monitor without HDMI.

The Series 9 notebook is constructed from duralumin, a material normally used in aircraft design, that’s twice as strong as aluminium and extremely light. Weighing just 1.31kg, the super-slim notebook is 16.3mm in depth, yet extremely durable. 

Featuring Samsung’s vivid SuperBright Plus screen with 400nit brightness, 16 million colour reproduction and Super Contrast ratio (1300:1), the Series 9 is 100% brighter than conventional displays to provide a superior viewing experience, even in direct sunlight. The visual experience is further enhanced by the Intel® HD Graphics 3000 which offers twice the graphics performance of the previous generation.

The Series 9 is equipped with the latest high performance technology including Intel Core i5 Processor with 4GB memory and a 128 solid state drive which provides plenty of storage. Additionally, Samsung's Fast Start instant-on feature allows users to start working within just 15 seconds, and Fast Start powers on the device in just three seconds from sleep mode. In this advanced sleep mode, data is also saved on the SSD as well as the internal memory, so content is ready even if power is suddenly lost or the battery is removed.

The Samsung Notebook Series 9 will be available In the UK from a range of retailers including PC World, Amazon, John Lewis and Micro Anvika from 1 August 2011.
