Currys and its sister store PC World, the UK’s leading electrical retailers, opened the doors to a brand new joint megastore at Parkgate Retail Park, Rotherham on Friday 29th July 2011.
The 52,000 square foot megastore will provide the best of both brands under one roof, making shopping for electricals a much simpler and more enjoyable experience for customers. The new store will offer the widest range and best selection of electricals from both Currys and PC World ensuring a better shopping experience for customers.
The new joint Rotherham megastore showcases over 16,000 products including a huge range of HD and 3D TVs and digital cameras and over 45 MP3/4 players from top brands such as Apple. There are various styles of fridges and freezers, kitchen gadgets and electrical grooming products to suit every need and budget, as well as a massive range of computing tablets and netbooks, laptops and PCs for sale throughout the store.
The new megastore offers customers a ‘hands-on’ product experience coupled with extended product ranges, which is designed to meet all technology needs. This megastore has a huge selection of interactive ‘play tables’ allowing customers to pick up, turn on and test out a wide range of products before they purchase, including premium brands such as Apple, Siemens, Gaggia, Liebherr, Bosch, Miele and more.
The Currys and PC World Rotherham megastore will additionally have a new and dedicated KNOWHOW service bar enabling shoppers to benefit from expert technical support on everything from TVs and PCs to cameras and kettles, as well as a specific PC World Business area, supplying equipment and software for small business customers.
Other services available at the megastore will include: Next Day Delivery service, which gives customers the option to choose when they have their product delivered within a two hour time slot, the award-winning WEEE recycling scheme and the option to reserve goods online for collection in-store.
