Samsung Electronics, a leading name in the world of consumer electronics and information technology, today announced the launch of three new monochrome laser printers. The ML-1860, ML-1865 and ML-1865W offer users an intuitive printing experience by incorporating a number of easy to use one-touch features into the products’ design. The compact printers also include environmentally-friendly features, making them ideal for personal, home office and small office users.

Making life easier with intuitive features

As technology evolves to become increasingly complex and deliver more and more features, consumers are looking for an intuitive experience. In recognition of this Samsung has introduced a number of easy to use ‘one-touch’ features to the new ML-1860 and ML-1865. The Samsung Print Screen button provides consumers with a quick and easy way to print exactly what they see on their PC screen at the touch of a button saving paper and toner in the process.

To integrate with increasingly common wireless working environments, the ML-1865W wireless-enabled model features Samsung’s one-touch Wi-Fi setting to make setting up a wireless connection quick and easy. It is also certified with Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ to ensure the wireless connection is secure.

The printers are also compatible with Samsung’s AnyWeb Print software. This allows users to select, drag and drop specific content from web pages into a new blank page on their PC screen, which they can then save or print. The AnyWeb Print software allows users to print just the information they really need, rather than printing several whole web pages. This means users are not wasting time or resources such as paper and toner.

Rather than hiding the on/off switch at the back of the printer, Samsung’s new Soft Power button is located on the front panel of the devices making it simpler to turn them on and off.

Stylish and compact design to fit in with your lifestyle

The ML-1860 and ML-1865 series’ advanced intuitive features are seamlessly integrated into the devices’ design. Ideal for the smallest of working environments, they feature a streamlined design.  The ML-1860 has a black chassis complete with a crema grey finish whilst the ML-1865 series has a classic black finish. A cover on the output tray contributes to the streamlined look and helps to keep the noise level down, avoiding unnecessary distraction in the home or work office.

With print speeds of up to 18 pages-per-minute (ppm) and a first page out time of less than 8.5 seconds, the ML-1860 and ML-1865 series offer a high-quality and robust printer for personal users with regular printing needs, such as professionals and students.

“Samsung understands that consumers don’t want to wait for their prints or waste paper and toner.” says Anne-Marie McGarry B2C Product Marketing Manager, Samsung Electronics. “That is why this range of easy to use one-touch devices not only allows consumers to easily print what they want, when they want, they can also save paper and toner. The one–touch Wi-Fi setting also enables consumers to connect to their wireless network quickly for greater simplicity and speed.”

Protect the environment and save money

Making it easy to switch the printers on and off encourages consumers to turn them off when they aren’t being used, rather than leaving them in sleep mode. This can help to avoid unnecessary energy consumption, saving as much as 9.55 watts per hour ¹. Over a year, this equates to the same amount of energy as leaving a light on for over 18 days.

In addition, the ML-1860 and ML-1865 series is despatched with minimised packaging to reduce the impact of the devices on the environment.

The black toner cartridges that supply these printers deliver a 1500-page yield and provide the same high standard of quality and reliability to be expected from Samsung original printing supplies.
